Luxor is rightfully called the pearl of the country. Earlier the city was its capital, and today - the archaeological center. Luxor Tour will present a unique opportunity to see many historical monuments in one place. Every year the resort is visited by thousands of tourists from all over the country and the world. The beauty of this city can not be described in words, they were admired long before our appearance. Planning a vacation or an excursion to the city, take care of your health. Required attributes of the trip are body covering clothing, headdress and water. The sun is hot here, like anywhere else in Egypt. You can get to Luxor from any major city in the country. Buses run from Makadi, Hurghada, El Gouna, Safaga. The trip takes about five hours. In addition, the resort can be reached by plane and on a cruise ship. The temperature in the city is kept at a high level. The hottest months are May-November, the air is heated to fifty degrees above zero. Surprisingly, the nights in the city are rather cold.

The delightful history of Luxor begins with the reign of Amenhoteb the Third. From that moment the city became the capital of civilization. Nile conditionally divided it into "the city of the dead" and "the city of the living." The "living city" was inhabited and ruled by the pharaohs, and "the city of the dead" was prayed and the tombs were built. In history, the "city of the dead" is known as Thebes, which Homer sang in his writings. Its development of the city practically ceased from the fourteenth century, in this century the capital of the country was moved to Memphis. Over time, the city was attacked by the Romans and virtually destroyed. But today, thanks to the efforts of scientists and archaeologists, they are trying to restore the former greatness. Since the beginning of the nineteenth century, large-scale excavations and the emergence of tourism in the country began.

Rest in Luxor can take place on one of the banks of the Nile. The river divided the settlements into two banks: the right and left. The left bank is called "the City of the Dead" by the locals, and the right is called "The City of the Living". On the right bank there are such interesting sights as Kanak and Luxor temples. In antiquity they were united together and represented one huge complex. A trip to Luxor will be bought not in vain if you visit Kanak Temple. The most impressive part of it is the hall with the columns of the pharaoh of the Network of the First. The hall consists of one hundred and thirty-four columns, the height of each is sixteen meters. All of them are painted with beautiful bas-reliefs. On the south side of the temple there is a small lake, near which there is a granite scarab. In ancient Egypt he was considered sacred.

The most famous and powerful Pharaoh Ramses II contributed to the construction of the Luxor Temple. It was built in the thirteenth century BC. The temple is located along the banks of the Nile, and its length is twenty-five kilometers. In ancient times, the entrance to the temple was guarded by six huge statues. To date, there are only three giant, the height of each is twenty meters. These statues embody the faces of Nefertiti and Pharaoh Ramses II. Also, the temple was decorated with two obelisks, one of which was moved to Paris during Napoleon's attack on the country. Rest in Luxor will not do without visiting the left side of the city. It is famous for the Valley of the Pharaohs. In this place in total there are forty tombs. One of which belongs to Tutankhamun.

Each of the tombs is cut in the rock. This was done to hide them from other people's eyes. The entrances of the tombs were covered with cobblestones and immured, but this did not save them from ruin. Each of them has a similar architecture. Inside the tombs there are inclined corridors with a length of two hundred meters, there is a sharp descent to a depth of one hundred meters to three rooms. The walls of the tombs are beautifully painted and tell about the life of the deceased. Another interesting sight - the temple of Hatshepsut and Amon-Ra. Unfortunately, to date from the temple of the sun god there are only two idols twenty meters high.
