+: The food was decent, especially the sweets which were pretty good. The beach food was the same every day—fast food like self-made burgers—but better than nothing between main meals. The cleaning staff were awesome. They cleaned our room really well and super fast. Big thanks to them for keeping everything so nice. Some of the restaurant staff were really friendly and helpful, always smiling and asking if we needed anything like tea or coffee.
-: There were quite a few negatives, though. We didn’t get the exact room we booked and had to spend six hours sorting it out after a long flight. They said it was a system error and every room with a hot tub had already been taken. For real? I made a reservation and paid for it as a non-refundable option 1 month before arrival and sent a couple of messages ahead of time. They saw my order and said nothing about availability. They could have cancelled my reservation if the room I booked was not available. This was frustrating because we booked the hotel for the spa bath only. When we finally got the room we booked, it was noisy in the evenings because of the nearby disco until 11:30PM. That's probably why the family before us left earlier, and they gave us their room. They only gave us a single à la carte restaurant visit as compensation, which didn’t feel like enough. There were also some issues with staff behavior. At the beach, one of the bartenders scratched my foot while checking drinks in our gazebo. It was shocking and felt like harassment. It’s not okay for a staff member to touch me like that. I bet if I was local he wouldn't dare touching me that way because of the consequences. But since I'm a foreigner and a tourist, they think they can do whatever. While some restaurant staff were great, we had a couple of rude encounters. One waiter told us to leave an empty table because he promised it to someone else, which was really unprofessional.
